Check Cashing USA - Invest in the Future - School Supply Drive

Check Cashing USA, in collaboration with Udonis Haslem, has organized a fundraiser designed to promote and support the furthering education of the community they call home. Check Cashing USA is owned and operated by natives of South Florida. This personal connection to the community makes fostering and supporting its youth a very personal and special cause. This is why Check Cashing USA started the “Invest in the Future - School Supply Drive.”
With the help of customer support and dollar for dollar donation matching, Check Cashing USA partnered with 4 local elementary schools to donate 250 backpacks filled with all of the supplies needed to help these students succeed. Unfortunately many eager and curious young minds are unable to obtain the basic supplies they need to complete their daily assignments. Without being able to learn these early and basic lessons in school, students are set up to fail as each year assignments build on what they should have learned in prior years. These backpacks will give students everything they need to engage in school and build a strong foundation for the rest of their education.
“As a 49 year resident of South Florida and a father of two public school students, I could not be more proud of what Check Cashing USA, with the help of its customers, has been able to accomplish. We have raised money for many causes including, Pediatric Cancer, Epilepsy, Autism and the tragic school shooting at Stoneman Douglas. I must say that raising money to help the youth of South Florida ranks up there at the top of the list. Seeing the faces of those children as they opened their new backpacks was amazing. As a result of the generosity of customers and associates, Check Cashing USA has distributed over $100,000 in donations to more than 6 charities in South Florida. Some of these most recent charities include, The Live Like Bella Foundation, The Dan Marino Foundation, and the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida.
